Ability Found welcomes partnerships with hospitals, clinics, churches, care facilities, educational institutions, charitable organizations, government programs, foundations, and corporate giving programs to serve those in need. We gladly accept both cash donations and in-kind equipment to help us fulfill our mission. By registering and donating today, your organization can benefit through:
- Association with a professionally run 501(c)(3) charity widely recognized for helping people with disabilities lead productive lives.
- Free recognition, advertising, and traffic direction through a link on www.abilityfound.org.
- Connecting your mission or products to a worldwide humanitarian need.
- Expanding your involvement with local and national communities.
- Changing lives, giving freedom, and making miracles possible for individuals with disabilities.
The Equipment Placement Program
Ability Found requests donations to fund The Equipment Placement Program, an ongoing, year-round initiative. Donations directly provide adaptive equipment for children and adults with disabilities, without funding non-direct program costs.
The specific purpose of the Equipment Placement Program is to purchase or recycle rehabilitation and adaptive equipment, including assistive technology for individuals with disabilities.
Supportive Service Program
Ability Found also seeks donations to cover indirect costs associated with its mission. These costs, which make up about 6% of our annual budget, are essential for maintaining services. Your contributions support:
- Building rent and utilities.
- Salaries of professionals addressing medical and technological needs.
- Promotion of services and educational outreach.
- Expansion of services to meet increasing societal needs.
Who We Serve
We serve individuals of all ethnicities, religious affiliations, sexual orientations, and national origins on a first-come, first-served basis without discrimination. At least 80% of those we assist live at or below the national poverty level, where access to adaptive equipment is often unaffordable.
We Offer a Unique and Essential Service
To our knowledge, Ability Found is the only charitable organization in the Intermountain West primarily focused on placing medical and rehabilitation equipment for people with disabilities. While other organizations provide equipment charitably, it is not their primary mission.
